Is this where we go for warranty support if we're NOT going through our carrier (i.e. I have a Sprint Touch pro on VZW so I can't go to either for repairs).

looks like a third party repair site for out of warranty devices. That looks like the best option for you since, you cant go to either carrier for help.

you can ALWAYS go to the carrier for help ;]
and they will ALWAYS help you out.
you just need to use the right words ;]

pcdphones is utstarcom I know they did carry all the HTC phones under that name for years

here is the info I got from them when I called 1 year warranty
