MicroSDHC Card problems

I have a 16GB ScanDisk MicroSDHC card and since yesterday it has been constantly freezing up my HTC Touch Pro. I have had it since the Touch Pro was released and has been working perfectly fine until yesterday. I have unplug it from my PC a number of times because transfers were taking ridiculous amount of time, I'm pretty sure this is causing the problem.

How can I check it for errors and stop it from freezing my device?

Do you have a way to connect the card to your PC without using the TP?

Use that and transfer all the files you want to keep, then format???

Is formatting the only option? No Windows or Linux app to test the hard for errors for something? The built in Vista utility is rubbish and can't find anything for Linux.

+1 for that, That usually will clear up your issue, its not that hard.

This cab (cardspeed)will test your read/write speeds of your card:

This cab (tnyynt)is supposed to speed up your storage card:

OK, i've tried reformattin a number of times but Windows can't complete the format. I've tried Fat32 and NTFS, now what do I do?

Get the panasonic card formatter. It is the best and it is free. Called SDFormatter V 2.0

Back up all your data and reformat it in FAT32.
