Questions on ROM with TP on Boost
 

Hello I have a Touch Pro on boost now my question is when I unlock the phone for a custom rom my service doesnt work so I relocked it. Now my question is if i unlock it then install a rom will the phone work on boost still?

I thought Boost was the iDEN network, where as the Touch Pro's were either CDMA or GSM..you got one working on Boost?

Yes I have one working on Boost. Boost still supports cdma but does not advertise it. There are various sites that explain the whole process. I get the 3g internet gps and all the goodies . I just am trying to now figure out if I can put a custom rom on this or not

That's interesting. So, I think I would just try it. You could always flash back to stock and relock the phone.

if i flashed the rom and it ad no service i could reflash too stock sprint rom and it would be fine?

well im flashing now with energy rom we will see if boost service will still work

After the intense couple of minutes im happy to say it is working with the energy 6.5 rom phew !! It would have sucked if for some reason I had no service.

Sweet..I figured it would. The ROM really has nothing to do with the service (as I understand it)...now changing the radio might mess something up, but idk..

I thought it would work I was just nervous something would go wrong..thats just my luck but its working great
