Pim backup on 6.5 not working correctly
 

I am currently running juicy's rom. For some reason when i go to backup my text messages I can't deselect my email accounts. i get a circle or square with ot without a check mark or I get a blue arrow. no matter what I set it on, the emails under the account tree are selected. if i get them unselected, PimBackup still backs up my emails.

What am I missing here? Never had this issue w/ 6.1 roms.

But I haven't personally tried to use PIM Backup on a 6.5 rom (haven't used one in a few months).

Yes I can read stickies. Thought it would belong in upgrades since 6.5 is an upgrade

the upgrade section is for things that upgrade your phone(rom/radio things like that)

if u read it the first line says

To try to keep the forums a little cleaner, we are asking that you ONLY start threads in the Upgrade forums that are to release a ROM, Kitchen, or Radio.

this is not a release so it doesnt really belong here

u might want to consider using Microsoft MyPhone, or other online Sync to sync all your contact list, #, text, etc.

I know this is in the wrong forum and I'm usually one to point that out but..... I also noticed this problem and frankly I'd rather not hear "use myphone or something else". Does anyone actually know why pim backup doesn't work?

im using 6.5 on my TP along with PIM backup and i can sure tell u, i have no problem with it. I dont know what problem you guys are encountering.

i only use pim backup & i have been running 6.5 since it was available on the touch pro & have never had any problems but i never used it to back up emails only texts & contacts but are the account being set-up before u guys are attempting to restore them??

I have also had this issue on every single 6.5 ROM that I have tried.

Theres an easy away around this problem. I always deselect my email account, but allow txt messages to restore.

To deselect something, click and hold on the check box, then slide ur stylus off the box (while still applying pressure) and once ur no longer over the box release. This should deselect the box without changing it to a circle.

yep same here, always had that problem with pim and 6.5, i just delete messages from email before backig up-didnt find any other solution yet. easy to reproduce for the non-beleivers out ther- just make sure u running 6.5 and have at least one e-mail account setup- then go to backup with pim and try to deselect the backup emails option(will not let u)
