Sprint keeps overriding my Custom Internet Connection

I am adding my MetroPCS Internet to my phone but Sprints connection keeps reinstalling itself and setting itself as the default connection.

Anyone know how to get this to stop?

I've deleted it like 30 times. It reinstalls almost instantly after I delete it.

I did HardSPL, ran the Sprint Cleanup Tool, added the Sprint Arcsoft MMS, ran the MetroPCS Programmer CAB but haven't added an actual ROM yet.

and you have sprint service? I am trying to understand what you want to achieve with metropcs's data...

I have Metro. My phone is flashed and I am trying to enable my web now but the old Sprint settings keep getting in the way. I added my MetroPCS Web Connection, but the Sprint connection sets itself as default and even when I completely remove it, if I close everything out and go back to Connections, the Sprint connection is reinstalled and has set itself as the default connection again. :(

Re: Sprint keeps overriding my Custom Internet Connection

sounds like your running a sprint rom, or loaded a sprint cab.
sprint has a bunch of stuff in their rom that checks and resets values like this.
always do a extra hard reset after flashing.

I'm still running stock as you can read above. There is no way to remove the Sprint connection unless I have a ROM?

Re: Sprint keeps overriding my Custom Internet Connection

sorry, it wasn't very clear. but no, the sprint rom will always check/make that connection.
if you don't want to flash, you could use nodata.cab to disable it and the one you make should still stay. i think.
why run a sprint rom if your using another carrier?

Well there is no official MetroPCS Rom or anything. I got a Sprint phone, had it flashed to my carrier as there phone selection sucks, and now I am getting it to work with my carrier. I have text and voice working, but internet and mms still needs to be fixed. I can get it going, but Sprint defaults soon after and then I can't use it again.

I guess I could install a ROM, not sure which I want yet.

I couldn't find that in Windows/Startup/ using File Explorer so I'm not sure if that is even the issue.

Head over to the Upgrades section and get yourself a custom rom. No reason to stick with the sprint rom
