help!!! i think i might have bricked my pro
 

i was trying to return to the stock sprint rom and relock it, but mistakenly used the dumped rom. now it is stuck in bootloader mode saying Update rom code error, try again... WHAT DO I DO???

What have you tried?

Try flashing a correct ROM... like the Stock Sprint.

Can you flash it from the SD card?


unlock, flash and even relock your TP via the SD card!

Generally you don't have to activesync it after you've unlocked the phone. Almost every ROM I have updated to my TP w/ Alltel is just put it on bootloader mode, and run the ROM's updater.exe file.

Since the bootloader mode is outside windows the sync doesn't see it anyways. You should be okay as long as it will take the re-flash attempt.

Go into bootloader mode,hold down volume center dpad and power, then just flash a rom from your deskyop. Just click the Rom update utility or whatever its called. Dont worry your phone IS NOT bricked.

yea just put the phone into bootloader agian and try it again just prolly had some miss communication with the pc to phone

Thanks to all of you for your assistance. god i feel like a noob... I went ahead and flashed the shipped sprint rom and was able to return it to the store. Where the problem happened, was that I had flashed the dumped sprint rom in IMCOKEMAN's post and then relocked the phone. It went into a continuous loop on me. But now I am a noob all over again as I learn my new palm pre... lol this should be fun
