on screen keyboad problems
 

well, i have a problem with my on-screen keyboards, all of the HTC ones. the winmo keyboard works fine and the handwriting works fine but for some reason ALL of the HTC keyboards are locked into symbol mode. I'm pretty sure that its not the fault of any software i have on it (i barely have any) but it's weird cause it started with the compact qwerty and then eventually to the full qwerty and phone keypad. I really don't want to hard reset and i'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

Do u have any other kb instaled? soft reset proly takes care of that issue

Bro I have the same problem. I just cant get it out of symbol mode. I'm very surprised no one has posted any suggestions other than soft reset. mine has been a problem for months, and have done many soft-sets for various reasons.

Anyone have any ideas?

Sorry, but the easier softer way is soft reset unless u volunteer more info.:mrgreen: When did this started? have u ever done a hard reset? was this an issue since day one? I ssume u running stock....I dont have any prob with HTC kb as I dont use them maybe that explains, still I havent heard much about it....there are some really cool keyboard out there that are free, one that comes to mind is Fingerkeyboard.....
