hello members, I upgraded my plan with the addition of the htc touch pro. I dont care for the data plan since im usually always in a wi-fi environment. so today i was a car and hit the youtube app to see if i would get any thing. AND IT DID even though i switched off the data in the settings. will hitting any app that requires the data override the switch?? i mean i dont want my bill to skyrocket. also when data is off, do you guys still see the "EV" icon at the top?? and is there a way to keep on roaming manually? thanks guys

lmao, there's a roaming app thread around here somewhere,
it was just at the top of the list of new posts not too long ago.
also, you need nodata.cab
for the no data,
it'll switch off data.
the switch in com manager is to just turn it on or off if it's already on.
It doesn't block it from working.

and yeah, ev is there, or rA for rev a.
that's what I get anyways.

look for NoData.cab over @ modaco.
the evdo icon doesn't really matter too much, but if you like you can force 1x (voice/txt) all the time with "Mode of Operation" in phone settings (might require a reg tweak)
