Contacts in active sync
 

Ok I got a replacement touch pro today. And I can't get any of my contacts to sync to the new phone.. I have found them all in my computer in outlook 2003 though.. I was also wondering is there anyway to change what name my phone syncs to the computer as. I don't know if that is any part of the problem but it's synching as wm 7

settings> system> about> Device ID change it to whatever you want..

make sure your sync settings are set to sync both ways and not just from phone into the comp

also, your current sync folder will disappear when u make a new name, dont freak out, it goes to Your My Documents in ur PC, just cut and paste everything into the new folder and itll sync it

umm, mine have always been on the desktop... you do sync "files" right? otherwise it doesnt create the folder, or something... just know when u click 'files" to add in sync list, it tells you its creating a desktop folder for you... that also stores your pim.vol(your contacts) there too....mine atleast

Ok.. My favorites have synched to the phone just not the contacts it's really baffling to me
