Just zep, I heard about this sight from the manager at the Hampton Advanced auto parts. He has a Mogul. I just got my TP back in March. But from reading a lot of the threads in here, I notice a lot of folks messing up their own phone and then calling Sprint for a new one.

Same thing with your phone. You put a non oem rom and mess the phone up, then you expect the provider to fix or replace it for free?

if it was under warranty, YES i would. a cold air intake and chip will not blow a motor. the dealership HAS to prove the cold air intake and tune did the damage. there are laws regarding this because of crocked dealerships denying warranty work. why dont you try a little harder next time?

When I bought my first new car in 2003, the warranty book says that you can not modify the engine or the electrical sytem while it is under warranty.
Maybe a radio or if your handicap, some mods, but other than that nope, NOT COVERED. Read your Htc warranty book, you cause damage to the phone, your not covered.

i would like to see them(HTC) prove that the rom is what caused the issue like car makers need to do to void a warranty claim. i will guarantee i know more on the auto side than you do in this case.

I think this isnt going anywhere, remember we all have diferent perception...I take Zep's comment as "if we all give up on our devices w/o putting up a fight we wont be learning jack" that is all, may be he came across as a little blunt but just let it go....it is all good, OP is back on stock so there is a good chance he will get his TP squared and share with us...peace:mrgreen:

lol arguing over nothing... Its a phone and no matter what any one says the reality is the OP did nothing LOTS OF OTHER PEOPLE don't do.... He flashed his phone to roms that by the way lots of others are using with no problems and it killed his data... tried every thing he could to fix it to no avail so went to his carrier.. who by the way Take insurance payments rather you use it or not... if he never had to use his insurance would they refund the money at years end or contract end or ever? NO of course not.. so I don't blame him or any one else for getting there money worth rather its some thing they did or just faulty device...
