Mac OS X tethering problem

Hello all! Let me begin by telling you my hardware. Powerbook G4 177" running OS X leopard, and HTC Touch PRO from alltel.

This is my fifth replacement. First ones keyboard stopped working, on all of them, and my last one had a combo of that and saying it was plugged into a tv output anytime it had usb plugged in. My current one's keyboard works... but I can't get bluetooth tethering to work with my mac. I was able to do this with my last ones, just pair my mac and touch pro via bluetooth and connect to PAN. But this one... this one connects successfully the first time... for a few seconds. Then it disconnects and won't work again. I reset it to factory and tried again. Same thing happened. Removed battery, restarted both devices multiple times. No dice. I got this replacement yesterday (its record is quickly becomming worse than my Mogul, which ended with 9 replacements). So, if anyone has any other advice, than what I already want to do (smash with huge mallet, run over with truck, and melt with thermite), it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, and I feel sorry for anyone else who has this phone.

I had the same problem, but when I clicked on my device in the Bluetooth preferences on my Macbook Pro, and select Configure Device, it takes me through the network steps agaain and works well after that... hope that helps

Does not work here :/ I called alltel customer service, spent well over an hour in waiting through cust. service, tech support, and them adv. tech support, and the rep decided to send me another phone. I got this one friday (4th replacement) and I will have #5 by Tuesday.
