Number of Text Messages
 

Is there a way to change the number of text messages that save so that when a new one comes in it automatically deletes the last one. Don't know if that made any sense.

i don't think so... but you could just delete your texts lol

I am asking for other people that have asked me the same question on my Touch Pro site. I don't have any ideas besides maybe a registry change but I wouldn't even know where to begin to look for that.

best i heard was to create a blank pim backup of just txt messages. restore that file and i guess it will take awhile but its shorter than doing it all by hand.

uh, menu > tools > clear text msgs? that seems easier than programming a script or making pim backup restore every so often...

I agree also,
but I was thinking of having one that will delete older texts
after you have so many texts in your inbox.
But I probably won't make the script myself. haha.

lets see you do that when you have 4k txt messages. you might have a half frozen phone for awhile.

been there, done that. hell, with the mogul the messaging program would start to freeze by the time you had 1k messages in it. on my TP I very purposefully check and clear them around the 1k mark so it doesnt take to long.
