touch pro tethering pam - computer settings?

Ive been browsing this forum and google about tethering the sprint touch pro to be used as a modem, cant get my computer to connect thoguh. I just recently got a this touch pro coming from the mogul, and the mogul guides have very specific instructions for setting up the phone and the computers connection settings as well.

I followed the instructions for USB tethering, did the regedits changing it to sprint and i will get the phone ready to connect via internet sharing over the sprint network (as opposed to pam). I connect the phone to the confuser and try to connect using the mogul connection (#777) and it wont recognize it.

How do i setup a new connection to work properly? Are there specific instructions explaining the actual settings?

I would use the cab file I attached, (Can't remember who made it, but credit to them!) soft reset, and use the Internet Sharing feature in WinMo. It's much easier to get along with most computers. No need to setup, just start internet sharing, select usb from the drop down and tap "connect" at the bottom. Then plug in to your computer and go.

Or if you're using bluetooth, pair it to your pc, then use the "Join Personal Area Network" by right clicking your bluetooth icon in the system tray of your computer, and you're good to go and gone! :)

Edit: You must have Active Sync 4.5 (if on XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (if on Vista or Win7) already installed. For good measure, you need to first let your phone connect to one of those, then disconnect and give my instructions a try.
