New Version Sprint Navigation - Touch Pro

When opening the Sprint Navigation application today I was prompted to install a new version. The link took me to a telenav.com web site. Anyone successfully install and run this new version?

I just updated to the new version and there is an immediate problem. I am now presented with a dialog box to enter my First Name: my Last Name: and my Email Address:. Anyone else getting this?

Anyone have a link to the previous version?

It's suppose to do that. The old version did it too. It's so that it loads your favorites and stuff like that. It's not going to charge u or anything

You're a lil paranoid :???:

The old version had a one-time login also. My first login stuck at 25% and I had to exit the program. Did not require a soft reset. Second try was all aces.
Program works just fine. All the previous bells and whistles are there. I have no idea what is new.

i thought it was just me, but i haven't noticed anything new except the fact that the message to upgrade is gone.

I have 2 HTC Touch Pros and neither ever asked for my name and email address when opening Sprint Navigation.

Do you hear that ticking sound when you are on calls? That is the G-Men marking the tape as your talking. I cover my phone with aluminum foil, it blocks their reception!

you're tripping the very first time you opened up navigation on both of those devices it asked you. it will not ask everytime, just the very first time. if you don't believe do a hard reset on your phone and you will find out.

My Sprint Navigation had also been prompting me to upgrade. I did so successfully, I had to do a soft reset, and I had to do the one-time login thing - all without a hitch EXCEPT:

I have Sprint Navigation in my Start menu - that shortcut is still linked to the old version. When I go to Settings --> Menus to try to remove the old and add the new, when I try to uncheck the old version, I get a popup alert saying, "Cannot move that item."

So I tried removing one of my other shortcuts from the menu, then adding the new one, I get the same message, but I'm able to remove the other programs from the start menu just fine.

When I installed the later version, I also received an alert stating that the old version will be removed, obviously it was not. I don't care whether or not the old one stays on my phone, but I WOULD like it removed from my Start menu. Has anyone else experienced this... and found a fix?

FYI - I called Sprint about this and as usual, 5 transfers later, they were clueless. ](*,)

open file explorer>windows>start menu>programs, then delete the sprint navigation file you do not want.
