Calling ALL Chefs. Please SOLVE the active sync issues
This is a LONG standing problem that I really do think needs a serious understanding of root cause. Then ALL chefs need to be aware of it prior to release of kitchens and builds. The problem is: for some corporate active sync users (direct push), when trying to setup their phone after a new build, they will get the following error AFTER they have setup their credentials and upon every attempt to sync with the server:
Result code 0x85010013. "Exchange active sync has encountered an error. If the problem persists, please contact your administrator." When this problem is encountered, it is only encountered by SOME of the direct push users. I have even heard some chefs tell the people who do see this problem to tell their corporate exchange admins to "turn off paranioa mode" on the exchange server. Yeah right, like that is going to happen. The reality is, that when this problem is seen, it IS a ROM / KITCHEN issue. Some ROMS don't experience it at all, and some ROMS will ALWAYS experience it for the exchange servers that are "running in paranioa mode." Could we please get a seasoned chef to investigate this and get the news out to the rest of the chefs on how to avoid this issue in their ROMs and Kitchens? I am BEGGING! I am tired of encountering this problem 50% of the time when trying a new ROM. It is a dice roll every time and I would rather not blow away a build that was working in favor of a test of a build that doesn't work right out of the box! |
