Hi,

I got a problem and is that for some reason after installing Voip programs I see that my username on my device information is different that the one it should be. This is making the phone not connect to sprint.

Is theres a way to fix this?

I have tried changing to different roms and right now i have installed the stock sprint rom to see if would of went back to normal, but the wrong username is still there.

Will apreciate the help

You will have to do it in your EPST settings. I would call Sprint, and have them walk you trough it.

Well i have already did this a couple of minutes ago and it did change the username after a couple of tries, but im getting now a error message and for some reason im trying to put the connection information the #777, etc. but it wont save either. Also im not getting calls and i can not make them. i can call the voicemail with no problems.

Please any help would be apreciated

Checking more into the phone it seems that i havent been able to get in the sprint network for some reason. do you guys now a way to fix this problem, i have tried reactivating from the internet , but nothing.

have you tried "update profile" in settings?
otherwise the "clear storage" is a hard-reset including pst info

well i can make call but i can not receive. Little by little im getting there.


I have tried the update, but gives me error 1012.

I just tried the clear storage like you said and did update profile and it gives me the same error. it starts searching for data and then the antena signal and the data signal goes x.

hopefully some one had this problem before and can help

Whats up,

Yea, I'm having the same problem. I recently put some carrier cabs on my Pro and ran the update PRI (bad idea). I had an expert on here walk me through every single thing you could do to fix it. Same result everytime, error 1012 and the can't connect pop-up. I lost the ability to call, got it back, but still cannot go online. I called Sprint today, they walked me through the SAME steps. In the end, they told me I had TWO(2) CHOICES:

1. Either get a new phone in the mail (-->Insurance finally is being used :) glad i have it) Have to wait a couple days, then send the old one.

OR

2. Go to a Sprint Repair Center and have them check out the phone. If they have any in stock, then I can simply swap out (yay!) which I'm doing tomorrow.

If you have a custom ROM, now is the time to revert to a shipped stock ROM, Lock the device, AND be sure to save your contacts and any other important data to your memory card. PIM Backup is Great for contacts, tasks, schedule, etc.

It's ok to install it. Yes, it's was created for the mogul for the dcd rom, but those carrier cabs are famous and have been used on several different kinds of windows mobile phones on several different custom roms with great success. It works perfectly fine. You just don't want to run update PRI option.

This thread will also help you -- look at post 14.

Basically your msl has been changed because you did pri update. You need to figure out what ot was changed to through a reg hack, then reset your epst settings, then you can restore all epst settings back. You still may need to call sprint to get all the correct info.

I tried the link, but still no luck. I will try once more the link, but already it change me the msl after doing a rtn reset.



Im not able to receive calls still and the connection setting is not configuring the sprint settings of the #777 connection. It wont give the user and password to get in the internet even if i install the dcd sprint.

Any one else as some clue of the problem

Also if some one can post a copy of the settings that appear in the ##data# I will apreciate since i have on nothing on the last two secret hex. and the ip addresses also are in 0.0.0.0

if you can't send/receive calls nothing you do will fix the data.
before you edited a post you refered to the esn not matching.. is that the case?
were you playing around with qpst?

No, thats why i change the post since i checked again and there were fine. I was looking at the first two line of number and there where 4 last two being the ones correct. Any ways i haven't sleep trying to fix the problem.

well, it's business hours now, I'd got into a store, preferably a repair center.
that's really weird you can make but not receive. you did check and make sure your msl and msid were the same as the activation page said right?

when i follow the steps on the link at the first page, I do the reset from the RTN, after it makes all the installation, it starts the automatic activation, but it come with a error (i think is 69) That the username and password maybe the problem. so I go to the RTN and i see that phone number is wrong. I go to ##mymsl# and go and change the phone number on the two spaces. I go again to RTN and change the first item from 0 to 1 and then put my username on the correct area, since it has a diferent username when you hard reboot.

I check my connection settings and when verifying i see that the password and username are empty.

tryied diferent ways to imput information on that area , but non worked.

I tried the dcd sprint file but what it did is only add onather connection with the same password and username problem.

well, i called sprint and they did it=D>. they fix it.


It seems that it was missing a lot of the network settings

by going on ##778# and then going to M.IP Customer Profile 1 on the view info tab.

I will try to type all this information so that i have it for future reference and if some on have a similar problem

I had the same issue and brought it into a Sprint store, He told me come back in 2 hrs. I did and he said he "factory reset" and I should steer away from custom roms. I said OK, left there, inserted my Micro SD and rebooted my ROM back and was good to go before I even left the parking lot! *note to self stay away from the PRI* LOL

well I gave a different excuse, and they just help on the phone and they fix the problem in less than a hour.

The good thing about this experience is that i know how to fix this now if for some reason it happens again. But I just will stay away from the Voip apps on since that what made it worst, until they make one for the wm 6.5

I have had that problem with all 3 of my phones the Mogul then the Diamond and the TP. I googled all the codes that i need.
