Error 67/Error 1012/Can't make phone calls
 
Hi,

I have the Merdin 4.5 ROM and recently updated it with the Blue theme. All day long now I have been getting pop ups about error 67 and not having ANY access to Opera nor Youtube.

I tried going to his thread and tried all of the recommendations as far as the MSL Grabber and resetting it in the phone by ##3282#. Hard reset the phone because of that. Reloaded Merdin 4.5 this time just the regular ROM, no Blue theme, and i am STILL having the problem.

I tried going into the ##3282# display in the phone, all I see is 0's (ex. 0.0.0.0). I tried making a phone call to my voicemail and I get an error message saying "you are unauthorized to make phone calls to this number."

Right now, my phone is unusable. Does anyoe have any recommendations or has this happened to anyone else???

If anyone has any help, PLEASE let me know. I would love to get my phone working again.

did you install a dcd carrier cab at any point?

Are you on sprint? do you have a sprint branded touch pro?

did you already do this? go to your dialpad and type ##786#, click menu and select Reset

Yea, i think i already did. Will this erase everything? progz and contacts? Should i do it again?

it will do a hard reset. So, yea...it will erase everything. Do that and then see if you can call your voicemail.

Alright, pushed ##786# and entered the MSL number and it is hard resetting now... going through boot up process. Should I erase all data after its booted up? ( power, vol down, front button and the reset button )

not necessary. when ever you have problems like this it's best to flash the shipped rom onto your device. so, if things still don't work after it boots up, then flash the sprint shipped rom.

Alright. things still dont work. So i guess its on to the Sprint shipped rom...

have you changed your vision login or password recently? or have you swap'ed phones or activated the phone recently?

Nah, none of the above. Just went to Merdin's page and downloaded some of his upgrades for his newest rom. Got the blue theme and the updated prl and sprint carrier cabs... Somehow, something that i did with those installs messed everything up.

when ever you do an update pri and have the sprint carrier cab installed, it corrupts your epst settings. Doing the ##786# - menu - reset fixes it. I believe the problem now is that you tried to access your data connection on your phone with the corrupt information and after 3 failed attempts, sprint will lock the acct for 20 minutes. So, wait a little bit before you try again. here is more info on that here and here. thats good news, means that if everything goes as they say on the sprint site, i should have my phone running by sometime tonite!:headbang:

So what do u recommend? Should I flash my phone with the shipped sprint ROM (which is taking FOREVER to dl!!!) OR

Should I wait the 20 mins, reset the phone through the ##786#, with the current ROM?

Not really sure what steps I should take.

i would just flash back to the shipped rom to be on the safe side. then after everything is workin again, then you can flash back to whatever custom rom you want.

hi i have a LG Lotus LX600 sprint phone i recently switched to cricket, cricket said they had flashed it but i am finding out they didnt truly flash it . i know that it is possible i get an error 7 network time out for everything i try to do. i can make and receve calls and text messages. anyone know how to flash

***!!!SOLUTION!!!***


Call sprint and get new phone,

Went through ALL the programming codes with the sprint rep, tech support, advanced tech support. Finally said, i had 2 options: go to sprint store or have them send me a new(refurb) phone. ---> Have them send you a new phone. Its impossible to find a sprint repair store with any Htc touch pro's.
