problem installing .netCF
 

hi, quick question. i'm trying to install microsoft .netCF but it's telling me it can't. the message says "there is no application accociated with netcf... run the app. first, then open this file from within the application.
is there something else i have to install first? i had it on my Treo and it worked fine without anyother program but i don't know what the problem is now.

Check and make sure that you have a .cab file and not an .exe file. If you have an .exe you need to connect the phone to your computer and run the exe from there.

Just as lwrdrch..stated, if you have the "exe" version it needs to run on the pc and it will install via activesync.

Now some "exe" will install on the TP without a pc...it is a hit and miss...if you get an error on the TP, then most likely it is a PC "exe" program to be installed via activesync.
