unlocking touch pro for us cellular

is there a way to unlock the us cellular version of the touch pro and then flash new roms? i had the 6800 with us cellular and that was pretty easy to do but all of the tutorials for the touch pro do not say anything about unlocking it for us cellular? can someone please point me in the right direction as i want to flash new roms!!! thanks

Just follow the directions here

Use the SPL .37 file to unlock your phone.
I am currently running silence's 6.1 v 3 rom and it works great. I have also used mighty's r3born and liked that a lot too.

Last I knew US Cellular has a "no transfer" policy with unlocked phones.

At least thats what I received when I tried to transfer an unlocked Verizon flip phone to US Cellular.

I think from the OP that he already has a USCC touch pro and wants to unlock it so he can flash it. Not use a different carrier's phone

You can also check this USCC thread out

It's not very active, but it proved to be helpful to me when I was first getting ready to unlock and flash.

It all depends on your cell phone provider.

You've got to use an unzipping program (windows has a default one, but I would suggest something like zipgenius) and just put the contents of the file into a newly created directory, so you can make sure nothing else is in that folder.

That problem does not exist with the touch pro. You can leave the current radio on there or change it. Only reason to change it on the touch pro is to try to get better signal strength and quality. You have to be unlocked to change it though. These are the radios to choose from if you want to change it at any time. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=46616
