Im feeling very alone right now for actually liking the 6.5 start menu. Well, maybe "like" is a little strong, ii dont "mind" it. I agree, that quickmenu is a grest alternative.

this maybe a stupid question, but is the 6.5 menu the one that scrolls up and down. no tf3d

Re: 6.5 start menu

i THINK i would like it as long as you can remove the first ones if they are pointless to have. like on a stock rom. remove the stupid bloated apps they install for you.

Re: 6.5 start menu

I have re/START installed, but for the life of me I can't seem to figure it out. The order of things on the list when I open it up re/START doesn't seem to have any relation to the order of items on my actual Start menu. I mean, I see some things next to each other that are actually next to each other, but then they're next to other things that are nowhere near them. Things at the very bottom of the list are things at the very bottom of my Start menu, but then just above that is the things that happen to be at the very top.

Testing, I just found 'Camera.lnk' on the list, and clicked the 'UP' button until it was at the very top of the list. I exited out and it prompted me to soft reboot, which I did. I clicked Start.. and my camera is in the middle column, third icon down. My expectation was that it would be, you know... first.

Soooooooooo, I'm confused. :) I'm sure this is quite easy and honestly, I haven't seen many people asking for help, so I'm obviously just being stupid here. Anyone want to help me out? What's the correlation between the order things appear in re/START and the actual Start menu? The higher the rank number, the higher it appears on the Start menu, or what? Dunno why I'm struggling with something that's apparently simple. :D

Re: 6.5 start menu

I use quickmenu when I have 6.5, there are a couple of limitations.
- Seems you can't put stuff in the root of start menu or the settings menu
- can't really access the settings menu properly (as I know it in 6.1)

I still have found it usefull though and still enjoy the benefits of how I customize my menus. And quick access to the usual is still a +.

I'm w/ you man! I REALLY like the 6.5 Start Menu. Overall, I am not using that many applications. So I moved the 4 or 6 that I use the most to the top and I'm rocking and rolling. A lot of times I use the TF3d Programs tab anyways.

It is just really nice to be able to slide through the menu.

That being said, I can sympathize w/ OP if he's using a lot of different apps and/or not using TF3d.

I like too, but I'm still liking the TF3D as well. Looks to me like the new start menu is very similar to the Zune devices..

I would like 6.5 start menu if you could change out what programs are in the Programs tab. Has anybody figured that out yet? I do like being able to scroll through the menu.
