New Stock VZW Rom?
 

I just got a replacement Touch Pro from VZW. (Oil under the screen and the touchscreen quit working) When I booted it up I noticed that the version numbers don't match the stock rom we currently have. Would someone mind instructing me on how to dump it so that I can post it?

Here are all three numbers from the right hand side of the boot screen: P DCBBPZM-615010, R 1.03.09V, D 1.08
and the SPL on the tricolor screen is SPL-0.40.0000

If that radio version is correct, it is at least a new radio, or one that no one has posted yet.

Try dumping the ROM from your device. I've never done it, but I found some posts on XDA on how to.

If you do, and you're feeling generous, upload the results.

Edit: You can also apparently reconstruct the .raw files using a kitchen.

Definitely curious to see how this ends... Hopefully we'll get at least a new radio.

Where I am, I think the VZW radio that came with my phone was as good as I've had. Unfortunately, it didn't occur to me to try and back up the radio in some way, and I've now flashed to a bunch of different ones. The VZW radio here is not as good as Telus for me, but neither is as good as the one I got stock. My phone's about 7 weeks old maybe, hoping this radio will be the one I had.

Not a problem. They were rather buried, so I sympathize. Results may be a little different as far as the output since XDA tends to be more GSM-centric and we're more CDMA here. Please let us know what the results are when you get a chance. ^.^

I have not yet even provisioned it with my number, I wanted the ROM rip to be as pristine as possible and I wasn't sure what any given action would write to the phone, so I only turned it on to make sure it was working. As soon as I make sure I have the radio and ROM ripped I'll set it up and see if it does this.

A little update, I have all the raw files from the process Mattheyu posted. Now to see if I can coalesce them into a ROM and possibly a radio.
