To Use Protection Or Not
I Just Recieved Another Phone After I Scratched My Old Screen. Im Debating About Screen Protectors But Then I Hear They Are Worse Since Something Could Get Under Them And Scratch It Worse. Opinions Please

Re: To Use Protection Or Not
I'm happy with my zagg "invisi shield." I think it was $25 or so - and a huge pain to apply, but it's kept my TP nice and scratch free. I also use a holster/case attached to my belt, so the phone doesn't spend the day swimming in my pockets with keys and such.
The zagg protection works great, but comes in about 15 different pieces. You have to wet each piece and then apply it, keeping it in the right place while it dries. It's hard to apply all the pieces at the same time - you end up moving one piece when you apply another. Once applied and dry, it works GREAT! Good luck. |

Second opinion is you should definitely get a screen protector. A lot easier to replace it than the phone. |

Doesn't mean you won't get it dirty or drop it like it's hot, but you just gotta be careful man. I say to hell with the "no glove no love" saying. That is until you run into someone who has a contagious...skin disease.... Play it safe. |

Re: To Use Protection Or Not
the tp screen scratches way too easy, a screen protector, even the on in box is better than nothing.

Re: To Use Protection Or Not
I went to the Tacoma Mall and had the old guy at the Invisashield both put it on for me. my phone wasnt out of the box 10 min and got wrapped. It cost me $37 for a full kit, I grabbed a chilli dog at the food court and by the time I was done he was. And it was the best $40 I have spent!

Re: To Use Protection Or Not
The included sprint sprint protector is all you need. It doesn't destroy your picture or make it difficult to tap like cheap screen protectors. It is also VERY durable.

Re: To Use Protection Or Not
Yea but it's always nice to have choices & I myself prefer Boxwave's screen protector which covers both the screen and the bottom panel of the phone but to each their own... :)

It's not that hard to apply, and you would have saved yourself $20. Ah, being able to waste money... The stock protector that comes with the phone is actually pretty damn good. It's just a little too big on all the edges so it's VERY hard to get it to sit flat on the screen. Less than 0.5mm needs to come off on two sides and it would fit great. It's durable, works great for touch, and doesn't come off easily. There's a lot of screen protector threads around though. Nothing should "get under" the screen protector. What you're thinking of are plastic snap-on cases, which rub on the phone and will wear off the finish, leaving it looking worse than if you didn't have a case at all. |
Re: To Use Protection Or Not
Just my 2 cents, i absolutely love Screenguardz for psp and nintendo ds. They're very thin yet very durable and tough. There's 15 in each pack for $10 which lasts me for months. It sticks by static not adhesive, so they're extremely easy to take off.

Rocking the stock screen protector and a hard case. I take off the hard case every once in a while to clean the phone well.

Re: To Use Protection Or Not
I used the Invisashield and was not really happy with the feel of the screen protector; I really loved the stock one but it got bent. I bought this one on ebay and I love it. It's just like the stock screen protector but it does scratch a bit easier. You get 3 for $7.45, so who cares.
