Re: ring without delay

lowering your sci (slot cycle index) also helps. theres a thread somewhere around here on how 2 do that

also, if you're using an MP3 ringtone, it will cause a lag. convert your ringtone to a wav file and it'll reduce the lag but the file will be bigger

don't use any screen lock including the wm6.5 native lock screen. It only adds wakup delay to the already slow system.

If you use Pocketshield, you not only get the best locking system available, it also eliminates the ring delay completely if set up correctly.

I am running Merdin's latest 6.5 ROM with PS locking & my slot cycle index set to 1 (I use a short mp3 ringtone). If I call my cell from a landline, I hear the phony first ring that you get with any phone, & then my TouchPro starts ringing at the same time as I hear the 2nd ring.

For reference, this is a ring or two faster than my wife's Samsung flip phone will ring when we compare them side by side.

Pocketshield has an option for you to switch the dialer back to the windows default dialer with its own skin. You can also do this manually through registry edit. Unfortunately for me, I ran into not locking/freeze with the PocketShield latest version.

Re: ring without delay

i read that SecondToday is also an offender, so i switched to TFDetacher and i have noticed that my ring delay is completely gone. that said, i flash and change software all the time so its hard to know if this particular software switch did it, but i've done no tweaks and my phones rings immediately

of course, if you don't use SecondToday, there goes that theory real fast

That doesn't hold true in my system, I run 2nd today with PhatPhinger Weather Panel & it does not cause any ring delay whatever for me.
