So far I have only tried the Telus...My battery life is much better....Cannot comment on the difference on net speed (standard radio and telus are both fast)

It's is along the same lines as flashing a ROM. Sync your TP, run the radio RUU and your radio will change. No loss of data.

I am currently using 1.11 and like how it attenuates. Haven't tried the Telus radio. My battery life is pretty good as is.

Context would be more correct as it involves this word with what we are trying to achieve (getting a better signal, versus the meaning of the word attenuate). But, yes it is correct. Attenuation is the decrease of amplitude as it pertains to an electronic signal. A decrease in amplitude would help battery life.

No soup, for you! "Soup Nazi"

I see, I learned it was a decrease in signal or the changing of one signal to another via aplitude modulation in school so in that case we're good :)

I've been using the 1.11 radio and it seems to be a lot better than stock :headbang:

I've not tried a different radio yet, but would like to try the telus and maybe sprint 1.11. Does anyone know if there is a way to flash the radio from the storage card? Would it be as easy as loading it onto a card and then clicking on it? Thanks!

Re: Sprint users... What radio do you use?? And what works the best!!??

Everyone seems to tout the Telus radio as the best, so that's the one I use. Whether or not its actually better than the stock Sprint radio probably requires empirical testing which most of us are too lazy to do, hahah.

I think everyone's experience will be different depending on where you are.

But I've tried both 1.11 and telus radios and have seen absolutely no difference from stock.

Flashing a radio from your SD card is the same as flashing a ROM from your SD. You just need to rename the .nbh file to RAPHIMG.nbh and copy it to the root of your card (i.e. \Storage Card\RAPHIMG.nbh). You then just need to get into the bootloader (Power + Vol Down + Reset Button) and follow the instructions to proceed. Of course you need to be unlocked first....

If I flash my Sprint TP to Telus radio is it possible to flash back to Sprint stock radio if I need to have my phone serviced?

Do any of the major roms flash a radio at the time or reflashing? mighty or juicy particularly. Also, is there an easy way to tell which radio your phone is currently using? I know when I first flashed Mighty 4.X my internet speed trippled on speed tests and that right there made me a believer in cooked roms :)

Go to your Settings\System\DeviceInformation, radio version displayed right there. If the ROM had tweaks built in to it, I can see how your data may have been sped up.

Re: Sprint users... What radio do you use?? And what works the best!!??

I'm in NorCal and get great signal most places...except at home. I am in the center of three Sprint towers, two about 1/2 mile in opposite directions, and another about 1 mile away. Its just a small pocket of bad reception and happens to be where I live and Sprint says they can't do anything about based on the locations of the towers. They did give me an Airave and that helps. So, would switching the radio help with this at all of affect being able to use the Airave?

Thanks!!!

Re: Sprint users... What radio do you use?? And what works the best!!??

ive used the sprint stock radio, the telus radio and the verizon radio and ive used each for about 2-3 months. I ended up sticking with the verizon radio, it seems to have the best connection and a pretty decent battery life. Try it out. oh yea and btw it also depends on where you use your phone so i use it in ny queens and the verizon radio is def the best for me.
