Sprint Touch Pro Unlocked, EVDO - 1X Data connection!
 

I'm living aboard now with the non Sprint CDMA signal. With the MSL code, i was able to setup and configure to make call and txt services with the local carrier. Here are some glitches i encountering during usage:

1. How do i disable the roaming icon (small triangle) on the right top?
2. I found out my cell phone located in EV signal. Unfortunately, when turn on the data connection, the EV icon turn to 1X, seems can not use the EV although it was ready in my current location.

Are there any settings miscorrect with the local carrier on my phone? I called the CS team, they said, my cellphone is fully activated with their sevices.

I'm having the same issue. At my home my phone will lock onto an EVDO signal and after about 20 mins it kicks into 1x. This is really slow. Like the old 14400 modems are comparable. All I have to do is turn the device off and turn it back on. There was a program that I had a while ago that allowed me to make it EVDO only, but I can't find it or the forum that I found it through. Does anyone know where I could get that program?

HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting

Change the option HiddenModeOperationPage from 1 to 0

Then go to Phone/menu/option/service/and check in the list, "Mode of Operation" should be at the bottom. You have 3 choices, Hybrid, EVDO, and 1X.
Once you have checked the box and hit ok, you will need to soft reset

try that.
