Which ROM to test next?
As some may have seen, I've done speed testing of different ROMs.
There are many ROMs out there and I have not tried them all. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...486#post913486 Please post here which ROM you think I should test next. If possible, say also _why_ that ROM should be tested - e.g you think it is slow/fast/has unique features. You can also PM me. |
Re: Which ROM to test next?
Well I was gonna suggest the new Silence Lite/Medium roms but it looks like you already got them........ nice job btw.

Stock. As a baseline...

Re: Which ROM to test next?
hey rstoyguy, he already did stock.
How about doing a 6.1 version of Mighty's. Either reborn or 4.16. Either of these 2 are smoother and faster then his ROM 5. Or, I second the vote for Copper. |
Re: Which ROM to test next?
+1 for R3BORN or 4.16

Re: Which ROM to test next?
my new rom 21222

Re: Which ROM to test next?
Juicy 5 or the "scandalous" Juicy 4.7

Re: Which ROM to test next?
I know its not a precompiled ROM, but I would LOVE to see a basic ppckitchen ROM tested. Just install the basic things needed for benchmarking (TCPMP, Opera, Flash, etc.) and run the same tests. Yes the times will vary from one compiled ROM to the next, but it would be nice to see it as a baseline, similar to the stock ROM.

Re: Which ROM to test next?
I found db_rom a good beginner rom. It was the first I found that had 6.5 with custom icons pre-installed, and while the flashing community seems all interconnected, db_rom seems to have a strong xda flavor, with some different approaches to some things than other ppcgeeks roms.
Anyway, can you add that to the tests? |
