GPS/1x Data (roaming) work in South Brazil
Yes, they both work! I knew the data would work (roaming) but I just wanted to give it a try. It's like .01 cent per kb. GPS works too! I have a friend out here with a Touch that gets CDMA EV service. We're going to work together to extract his PRL and change settings on my device to match his. It's so nice out here! I've been here for 6 days and I have 5 weeks left! Take care, my friends! =D

So how much do you have to pay if you use a navigation system for 1 hour.

If I were to use GoogleMaps/MS LiveSearch, it would be pricey and most definately not worth it. If I were to use nav software stored on a memory card, it would be free. I don't have/use any other nav software aside from GoogleMaps and MS LiveSearch (and TeleNav) so I'm kinda SOL if I wanted to use it LOL. =D

Re: GPS/1x Data (roaming) work in South Brazil
I was in southamerica 3 months ago and GPS did not work. They told me later (Sprint) that GPS is GPS assisted inthe touchpro, so it works only with service, not like a regular GPS device.

Yeah, I did have to have it connect to the internet. It was weird cuz the satellites were in view but weren't being used til I turned on the radio. I'm not tinkering with the phone too much since I'm on vacation though hehehehe. There are alot of WiFi hotspots around here so I do carry it. I also use it for pics/video even though we have a nice DSLR and smaller digicam. =D
