[POLL] Which Navigation works best??

I would like to know what navigation software for North America are you guys using on your Touch Pros?
Not even sure which ones are compatible.
Ive seen Tom Tom, Navngo, Garmin, Igo, Route66, Oncoarse out there.
Which ones are the easiest to install??
I would like to get some opinions before buying the software.
Thanks will be given for helpful replies.

Re: [POLL] Which Navigation works best??

Sprint Nav is the "easiest" by far only because it comes already installed on the phone. But I tried Tom Tom and Garmin (I currently use GARMIN) are the best imo. I think they both are VERY easy to install just a couple clicks on your PC with phone connected to USB. It kinda depends on exactly what features you want. One thing I can tell you is with the voice navigation on Tom Tom, it is way easier to add funny voices to it, compared to GARMIN. Hope this helps a lil.

I have been using the newest Telenav version - not the one from sprint- and it is very reliable. It also has the least amount of lag.

I love I-go! It plays voice thru the bluetooth music loud enogh for me to hear it, fast lock-on and the 3d buildings is a nice touch. But the custom POI is the best part.

I've used iGuidance for a least the last 5 years - and it works great on my TP. I won't update to the latest version though because I wouldn't be able to install on my tablet (without paying twice) and I'd have to buy their storage card. But I really like do think they have to best speech engine. - sheureka

Dapeeps,
I have been using Mapquest Nav 5.0 since my days with the Mogul . It took Mapquest about 30 some days to release a VGA version for the TP it came out and I have been using it since then. You be looking at some old link that is still alive....here is link for an OTA dowload of the cab
http://mapquestdtc.telmap.com/ota
Here is a link showing TP as supported:
http://wireless.mapquest.com/mapquest-navigator#Sprint (says coming soon on this page but it is available.

well then, that makes the decision easy. sprint navigation it is! i really dont have an issue with it, and battery life is not an issue because ive already come to terms with the fact that i will have to keep my phone plugged in any time im in my car to make it last through the day. i was mainly asking because if there WERE any other free ones, id give them a try. currently i use telenav, and unless i find anything else thats free, ill continue.

Yes, but if you click the free trial link next to the Sprint TP, it comes up and says "
Other Device

We're sorry, but we don't (yet) support your device.
Please fill in your information below, and we'll gladly inform you when your device will be supported."

I dont disbelieve you that it works for the Sprint Pro...if it works for the Fuze, it should work for both. I was just pointing out what it says.

Looks like a cool app, btw. I dont know if I am willing to pay 50 bux a year for it when I get sprint nav for free...but it does look cool.

just started using the newest version of Sprint Navigation, but i was using Telenav v5.1, standard sprint nav program but made for VGA devices, icons look less pixelated.
