Sticky Volume and Power buttons?

Curse KFC and their horrible soda lids, I went to get some drive thru food yesterday and they over filled my sodas so just a tiny bit of soda managed to splash on my TP, i thought it was just the screen cuz i saw a few bubbles of dr pepper. After cleaning it off with some clorox wipes I ended up noticing my power button wasn't popping back as usual nor were my volume buttons. This happened once before on my old touch pro, it was so bad that if I tried to raise the volume just a bit the key would stick and max out the volume, I had to esrp that touch pro and sprint sent me a refurb, well now its happening again but its not as bad as before, I can live with it this way but I want the click feeling back, anyone know how I can clean these 3 buttons? should I dis-assemble my phone? (its a refurb and looks like the black stickers have already been poked through before), can I freeze the phone for an hour then click the buttons trying to break it free (of course battery out). q-tip and 90% rubbing alcohol? what should i do?

Had a similar incident with an LG Voyager. I suggest a new phone as I hardly think anything can be done without risking damage to the internal components

I've never personally had a problem so sticky but when i would get my touch pro sticky from greese, soda, etc. I would put water on a towl squeeze all the water out (with the TP powered off) and gentily rub around it and that would ussually fix the problem. If that dosen't work try taking it to a local sprint store. I don't know about all sprint stores but the one around me is really nice and fixed my last problem for free. (huge crack in chrome). Good luck.

99.9% Isopropyl Alcohol, that what we use in the Service Center.:silent:
