Touch pro Video quality worse than mogul
Plain and simple the touch pro does horrible video quality. Good pictures but bad video.
mainly due to one optoin missing in the "capture format". We have h.263 crappy and slow even if you bump frame rate and bitrate up We have 3gpp2 Crappy and slow even if you bump frame rate and birtate up We have mpeg4 crappy and slow even if you bump frame rate and bitrate up But we do not have Motion JPEG. Why the hell did they lose that option? It's the best quality setting for videos. Sure the video files are a bit larger but the quality is night and day not big pixelated compression. |
Re: Touch pro Video quality worse than mogul
I rip movies to h.264 & play with WMP & they look fine.
I do agree the TP is pretty weak in that dept however. ~John |
Re: Touch pro Video quality worse than mogul
can this be fixed with a update from them???
or am i stuck with this forever(get a new non htc phone)?? |
Re: Touch pro Video quality worse than mogul
It's weird because in the registry there are options to adjust the AVI = associated to JPEg motion. yet in the camera version 6.4 which comes wtih the touch pro we have no option. I've compared a lot of entries in the mogul vs the touch pro and see no optoin in the registry to enable "motion JPEG".
Playing videos are fine on the touch pro but making movies with the camera is what i am talking about. |

I agree 100%, the TP makes awful video. I never use it for that so I don't care, but if that function is important you DEFINITELY need a different phone. ~John |
