delay after installing apps

Does anyone else have this issue? And is there any way to resolve it? Sometimes when I install an app it says it was successfully installed. I press Ok in the upper right corner and it immediately takes me back to where I was when I started the install(usually in the file explorer). Others when I press Ok, I get a busy cursor that stays on for up to 30-40 seconds before it returns to the previous screen.
