HTC TP - Unlock for use on CricKet Network?

I was in a cricKet store today, in which I am pretty cool with the guys who work there. They told me, all I need to do to use my TP on the cricket network, is call SPRINT, and tell them I am traveling outside the USA, and I need to unlock my phone. They will then give me a unique unlocking code. At that time, afterward, call back, and have my SPRINT number / account swapped into another sprint phone. Then, go back to the cricket store, and they will activate my HTC TP on the cricket network.

Can you guys confirm this please? Thanks in advance, I wanted to run this by you guys before I just went ahead and did it.

I don't care about my contract with Sprint, since I can not afford the $125 a month anymore, and my account is bound to be suspended any day now, anyway.

That's how GSM usually works, there's no such magical code for sprint. What you really need is the MSL which can be obtained either by calling sprint (easiest in your case but not the fastest) or by a number of other ways which are faster but will take you some time to find. I thought there were instructions somewhere on here on how to get the Sprint Pro to cricket

No need to call about getting your MSL. Search for BAFMSL. Apparently your Cricket guys don't know as much as you think they do if they didn't suggest BAFMSL and gave you a crazy story about traveling out of the country.

$125 a month? WOW... even the new referal plans are $60 a month.
