Anyone else having trouble with swiping?
I don't know if my touch screen is too sensitive or not sensitive enough, but when I try to swipe a menu down, or swipe in any of the many places where swipes are appropriate, about one time in three the touch pro registers it as a press of the part of the screen I first touched.
So I find myself looking for areas with no buttons and carefully aiming my fingernails to swipe. Then often I wish it would "push" further and faster. Is swipe/slide/push behavior adjustable? At the moment I'm running wm6.5 but I had the same problem in 6.1 |

I've had similar issues, but they dont bother me too much

Re: Anyone else having trouble with swiping?
try "diamond hacks". i think i got it either here or at xda-developers. just search for it. it has the option to adjust screen sensitivity. i have mine set to 10000000 (but play with it to your liking) and it works tons better.

Re: Anyone else having trouble with swiping?
That happens to me quite alot. I just try not to use a direct push-swipe movement. Since its all finger-friendly I just use the surface of my finger and start gently from one side and swipe to the other.
But try adjusting your sensitivity as others suggested. Good Luck. |
Re: Anyone else having trouble with swiping?
I have similar issues, although I ususaly end up selecting the object at the end of my swipe. My other issue is getting to tabs, I always end up getting the tab to the right of the one I want since I seem to roll my thumb to the right just a tiny bit when I pull it off the screen. I either need to stop rinking so much coffee, or figure our how to make the tabs wider.
I have the DIamond Hacks program, but I have not played with it much, it is an AWESOME program though and definately a must have. |
Re: Anyone else having trouble with swiping?
It took me a good week or so before I could use TF3D to actually navigate the menus properly. I dunno how long you've had your phone but just keep practicing with that. A lot of stuff on this phone feels weird at first but over time just becomes natural. I hated the directional button presses at first, especially the left but I'm used to it now.

For me, I think maybe it's the feedback from the sound so that I can tell when my touch has actually registered and my 'swipes' have started and stopped. It's worth a try anyway! |
