VZW Touch Pro users.. problems getting replacement devices?
I got the Touch Pro the very day it started being offered.. first week of December.. so I have an early model. The screen has started to loosen (you can swivel it a few degrees in either direction) and the hard buttons below the screen have become unpredictable so I went to go get a replacement.
My local verizon store said there are none of these phones in any VZW store in my state (Indiana) and to call the 800 number. The 800 number said they had no refurb replacements and had to search numerous warehouses before finally finding an available new unit. Then they took two days to get manager approval to send the new unit instead of the refurb unit. They almost didn't have a replacement. This got me thinking.. there's not really an equivalent phone in their lineup.. have you guys run into this issue too? Or did I catch VZW on a bad day? I'm worried if this new one has any issues there won't be any replacements. |

I had something similar happen to me last month. They don't appear to have any refurbs at the moment. Good for us I suppose!

I think it may depend on your region. I live in the souhwest and I just got a replacement with no issues whatsoever about a week ago. (free upgrade from 6800). Or maybe I got them at the right time. Im pretty sure I read on here somewhere it depends on region.

all they have is new units they offered me other refurbished units like the storm (lol) but yeah true story |

Hrm... well after all that talking about sending me a new unit.. they send me a refurb after all...
