3 quick (newbie) questions

Thanks again to you folks for the great help and kit on this forum. 3 questions that (I think) should be quick:

1. I recall that there was a setting - in one of the tweaking apps maybe? - that made hitting the X to close a program actually shut the program down. Had before I flashed my ROM, and now I can't find it.

2. I switch back and forth among silent, vibrate & normal a lot. I feel like I must be missing something obvious. Is there a profile app that just lets you switch sound profiles quickly?

3. Flashing the ROM was easy, as you know, and I have a feeling I'll be doing it again. Is there any way to back up my email account settings (or any other preferences really), or do they need to be entered each time? I don't use USB sync, use an exchange server connection.

Many, many thanks.

1. That's a regular setting on the phone. I believe you have to go into the task manager.

2. Don't really know about. Wish I knew more about this.

3. Look up UC and Sushimi.

I hope this helps you out

1. Start/Settings/System/TaskManager/Buttons

2. Of course the volume keys on the side are quick and easy to switch back and forth...but I thought there was also a program to save/switch profiles. Sorry can't think of name.

3. someone else can help I'm sure.

1. MagicButton or Small Menu

2. SPB Phone Suite

3. SPB Backup or Resco Backup

thanks! I have sprite backup (basically came w. the kill program, which is a professional necessity I hope works if I ever need it.) Will sprite or the other backup programs work on a new ROM then? I'm used to disk imaging & data backup on pc's and this really seems like something different.
