Voicemail number not my number
 

A funny thing happened I had a voicemail but when I called holding 1 down it dialed someone else's number and not my voicemail. Now everytime I flash a new rom I have this person's number and not my own in voicemail. I must admit I played around with update profile and update prl, would this have anything to do with it? Can someone help me correct this so I don't have to change the phone number to my phone everytime I flash?

I don't have the TP with me, but you can change it in your contacts, or phone settings once you're in the phone dialpad. There's more than one way to do this, but I think it's in the menu part of the dialpad. I don't remember exactly.

sounds like you got something setup wrong in epst ##778#
if your not sure what to do in there, it might be easier to run "clear storage" (full hard reset, you will lose everything) when it boots back up it should automatically run the update profile, if not do it manually..
otherwise call CS, but that's what they'll have you do.

Just change it in the phone settings. Thats all it takes, just set it to your own number.

goto --->Start----->settings----->phone. you can't miss it.

When I do a hard reset it updates with someone else's phone number in that field, so do I have something wrong in my update profile?

I know how to change it back manually but every time I flash I have to now manually change my voicemail number, where I did not have to do that before.

yeah thats what usually happens when your data profile is wrong. ive seen the network program phones wrong soo many times working here at sprint

were you using the "clear storage" or manually with buttons or RUU.
clear storage will wipe out any epst programming so update profile has fill it all in.
otherwise it's on sprints end and you need to have them reset your data profile.

lol lets say its on sprints end... and he calls them.. he says..uhh my voicemail works ok but see I like to change my rom often and every time I do it gives me a dif. number for my voicemail.. meaning you have it wrong in the system.. I can easily fix it myself but damn it I wanna a new rom and will have to fix it again..can you please fix it in the system for me..lmao I wanna hear that convo :-p

I have done both, but when I did the clear storage is when I started having this problem. So I need to call Sprint to get this fixed?
