Seven (push email) no longer shows notification of new email on top taskbar
 

i just started noticing that Seven no longer shows its red icon when new email is received in the top taskbar. it'll still show the number of emails in TF3D. i like the red icon, it stands out. i wish i could do the same with new SMS messages too.

i don't see any option to enable or disable this feature in Seven, so maybe it just disappeared?

during the last two weeks i updated Seven and changed my ROM from mightyROM 4.16 to 4.15.

Im running Juicy 7 and the older version of Seven and it shows on my taskbar.

I have this issue. On top of the icon disappearing, the sound notification just stopped as well.

Text messages aren't affected though.

The fix? I installed a "sound repeater" cab and solved the problem. Do a search for "email sound notification" and it'll come up in one of the threads.

Would you mind posting up the .cab in this thread? I searched your term and skimmed over the threads that returned results; however was not able to find the cab you speak of... If you dont have access to the cab and you link to the thread please... TIA

I haven't used seven in awhile, but when I went to their site I was surprised by a disclaimer stating the program send international texts to verify email accounts. I never had to do this before, has anyone had any charges because of this?

Yes, I had one last month... Couldnt figure out who it was going to and Sprint care wouldnt tell me the number texted without a sopena (sp), now I know... Thanks

It is a known issue already. Many people have fixed this by checking the box that says "Display message on screen" under sounds and notifications. I did this and it works, but for some reason it always unchecks itself periodically.

The charge was only about $0.50. I saw it on my bill also.
