Re: gmail

it sets up right and i get my emails and stuff. but after a few days it seems to ask for the email address and password over and over. even when i click remember. but when i click on to typing it in it just pops up again and again and again and i never get my emails after that point

Re: gmail

this has been happening more and more with gmail lately. for some reason the gmail server is not seeing the username/pw as correct or as the account as being locked. what has worked for me is to either delete and re-setup the account or to go to this url - https://www.google.com/accounts/DisplayUnlockCaptcha - to unlock the account. good luck.

Its a difeerent way to access your account. I provided a link to the setup dirctions from google, but i know on my phone that i have to mispell gmailto avoid the auto setup. Then i can proceed to setup the IMAP as instructed in the link. Hope it works for you. :)

Re: gmail

do i need to reset up the gmail account? Cause i just did the hot fix a day ago and its still doing it.

gameday22 04-30-2009 01:34 AM

Re: gmail

You will need to remove the Microsoft Hotfix program (add/remove programs) and also remove all your e-mail accounts and start from the beginning. After you remove the Hotfix and the email accounts do a soft reset. Once your Touch Pro is back up and running make sure the Active Sync is not running.

#1: Put all the email accounts onto your Touch Pro that you plan on using, fully run the setup for each account.

#2: Install the Microsoft Hotfix and soft reboot.

Ever since I did that a few months ago I have not once seen the user ID/Password issue happen to me again.

I hope this helps you out, please leave me a thanks if it does :)...best wishes.
