Sprint Touch Pro To G1 Help!!
 

Hello everyone i was thinking to transform my Sprint TP into the G1 of course not the whole phone but what i mean the applications that comes with it.. i realize from a friend of mine who has it that it has a different application different than the TF3d it make it look llike an iphone but not exactly.. so i was wondering if anyone has the .cab files or know how to convert the TP into the G1 or something like the Samsung Omnia on the main screen... I also realize that the G1 comes with many cool applications such as Metal Detector, Screen lock (follow the dots), MusicID and others..
Please let me know if anyone has done something like this or something close to the iphone, but i dont want to flash the phone i want to find some .cab files that can transform a little bit my phone..

yes you can put android (the G1s operating system) on your touch pro.
it will boot as a program file would! check out this thread!

Lots of options available.

For the G1 Stuff
Throttle lock will get you the lock you want, SPB Mobile shell 3 will get you a similar home screen that you can slide left and right with different widgets. You cannot run G1 applications on the Pro, however.
With that being said, there are people working hard to get android running on the Touch Pro, however at its current state, it cannot make phonecalls or use data. It does boot though.

For the iphone look:
There's obviously S2U2 for the lock screen, then you have iFonz or Wisbar Advance Desktop or iDiamond for the interface. iDiamond is the best looking one IMO, it runs off of the manila engine and is very smooth, however at it's current state it is nothing but an app luncher (as if the iphone UI is something more)

Unless a new version recently came out, it is not very usable

it is usuable they do not have data working on the current version, but they are working that out right now, also sound doesnt work but they have a fix for it that will be released in the next version.
plus there is an app pack with some apps that will work on it!

I found the files and everything of what u r talking about but it looks like that version only works for phones with sim cards... i also found something different and looks cool called Bell UI

no check out my first post thats the file you need to download
then extract it and copy it over to the root of your storage card!
then open up the folder called boot then run haret18.exe and hit run
it should boot up it will take a while to load though
this is for CDMA! (non-sim card phones). there is a GSM version of this but not where i linked you too

Also do a google search for windows mobile music ID it identifies the song playing like the G1 version!
it is not freeware or shareware so i dont want to post here, but go check it out!
and throttlelock is the G1 lock for windows mobile!

What I meant by usable is that you cannot use you phone as... well... a phone

I already got the MusicID so i dont worry about that... i've seen a metal detector application on the G1 does someone know where to get it I've been trying to find it but no luck... amm i didnt see that one let me check again

I download it and everything and it is the same as the one i already found of this application.. it is the same thing it does not let me connect or make a call or anything like that and it keeps saying that there is no sim card or sim card could not be recognized..
