activesync issues
I wasn't too sure which forum to post this in...
I just recieved a new TP from sprint due to keyboard issues that I was having with mine. When i connect it in order to do a sync to my laptop Outlook my computer is telling me that I am missing a driver which prevents me from syncing. It is odd, because I havent deleted anything on my computer since syncing my old TP. The driver it says is missing is : rndismpx.sys. Is anyone familiar with this? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling active sync to no avail. |
Re: activesync issues
i would reinstall the driver.
on your computer right click on my computer>manage>device manager>portable devices> right click on touch pro and click uninstall. restart your computer and plug the phone back in! it should install the driver again and your good! |
Re: activesync issues
Try it on another computer, and worse comes to worse; http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...053931033.aspx to move contacts over. Try using microsoft myphone to sync everything, it works fairly well, and it's free.

Re: activesync issues
as far as syncing contacts i am fairly safe. I have everything backed up with dashwire....but without my usb connection I am unable to flash to a custom rom :-(
ibmxx...i didnt realize that due to the missing driver, it wont even let me install my phone, so it doesnt even show up in my device manager. I am installing an older activesync(4.2) in hopes that maybe the driver that i need is included in that. Keep your fingers crossed for me. This is one of the oddest things i have ever seen.lol |
Re: activesync issues
woo hoo...i'm good to go now. time to unlock it and wait for mighty 5.lol. Guess I should put my solution in here just in case anyone else has the same problem. It was as simple as going into the usb to pc settings and clearing the box for "enable advanced network functionality"
