Mail2Web Service Down?

Hate to post a new topic,

Since yesterday I haven't been able to sync with mail2web. I use it for backing up my contacts and email, and now since I'm testing my new rom and multiple flashes later, I'm unable to get back my contacts through OTA pushing.

Can users who use mail2web please report if the service is working for you at the moment?

Thank you kindly :)

I use my own hosted exchange, but i asked my wife and she said her email hasn't been working. I wonder if they are shutting it down early as she has one of the free accounts.

All i want is one more sync so i can swap over to Microsoft MyPhone and backup my contacts through there!

I'll send my wife an email to see if she gets it. I have my own exchange server but she uses the free mail2web. I knew it was going away. They are upgrading to Exchange 2007 so that could be the cause as well.

Hey Mighty,

Works for me. Created a dummy contact online, it appeared on my phone instantly.

Erik.

Are you using the free service?

Mighty:

Will it allow you to change your account from the free one to a Pro Trial like the guy above? Without losing your saved information? Just a thought.

Actually what i just did was,

My previous setup was using

Server: mobile.exchange.mail2web.com

Now i went back to their site and noticed

Server: ex7.mail2web.com

I tried that method and it works :D

Must have something to do with the migration to 2007.

Yeah...the wife says hers is not working. I'll have to pimbackup her contacts tonight. Hopefully I can get her hooked up with the MS service soon.

Curious, are MSDN/ActionPack Exchange licenses restricted in any way? I wouldn't mind setting up a server to do full Exchange 2007 for free/donation, I get both MSDN and ActionPack keys every year at my workplace.

Mine is working... You would have to change your settings to reflect the migration...

with the switch to Exchange 2007, the way the servers are named has changed, so you need to update your server settings.

I'm also on the free service and can't login OWA or get emails or anything to my phone. I was waiting to as close as possible to the may 1st date before starting my trial. But it looks like I have to migrate now. lol

Horrible. I guess the may 1st date wasn't the exact date everything was suppose to go down. lol
