CDMA Touch Pro 2 Speculation Thread
There is a lot of talk of the Touch Pro 2 on the site and everywhere, but I'm very curious about this device on CDMA carriers like Sprint (as I have).
If you read the HTC Touch Pro page the major marketed advantages to the Touch Pro 2 over our current Touch Pros revolve around Conference Calling. It has Dual Mics for conference calls, enhanced conference call focused dialer, backside mute buttton for conference usage, etc... Conference features are awesome on GSM where you can have an unlimited (?) number of people connected to a single call (I had 8 on a single call on my T-Mobile WM phone years back). But Sprint's CDMA network stops at three way calling... That makes me wonder basically... What can we expect or hope to see as additions for us CDMA people... Or will the TP2 CDMA look like the TP with WiMax? |
Re: CDMA Touch Pro 2 Speculation Thread
I think we (Sprint folks) will see something very similar to the GSM TP2 with the speaker on the back but we will not have the ability to do more than a 3-way as you noted. I am also interested in the contact history app that consolidates all communications for a contact on one screen and is searchable.

Re: CDMA Touch Pro 2 Speculation Thread
Hardware wise it will basically be same less the second camera. My only thing is that I wish they made phone a little slimmer than what it is now.

Re: CDMA Touch Pro 2 Speculation Thread
the tp2 actually is slimmer but by a very small margin, like 1 mm

Re: CDMA Touch Pro 2 Speculation Thread
TP2 feels much smaller and more solid in-hand. Much like the tapering on the iPhone 3g vs. the edges on the first iPhone.
