No the sprint and verizon are the same. You are thinking of the XV6800 thats a different phone. The XV6850 is the HTC Touch Pro

Hey this isnt a hard case but it is a case that just protects your phone from scratches, not falls, I am going to order one for my TP tonight.

Case is made of metal, last I checked radio waves + metal (faraday cage) = very bad for the radio waves. I used an all metal case on my Blackberry, usually I get 5 bars of 1x and 3-5 bars of EV everywhere in town. With the metal case I got 3 bars of 1X and was lucky to pick up EV anywhere beside the mall/Verizon store.

I really am not sure, but I think aluminum (which these cases are) has different properties than other metals. I don't know all the chemistry behind it, but anyway, I have no issues with reception w my TPro and had none with my Mogul (I had an armor case for that one too). And I've used the phones all over CA, in Chicago area, NYC, NV, UT, AZ, TX, and I am usually right there w the nearest Vzw users :evil4: But just my experience of course!

No, I'm not thinking of the 6800. I had three xv6800's, I know what they are......

The Sprint TP is definitely NOT exactly the same as the 6850. One is a 1/2" longer than the other even though they are basically the same phone (of course the 6850 has 1/2 the memory of the Sprint TP)

I use this one and so far no complaints. Phone slides with ease and the tabs that "grab" the phone to keep case on do not interfere with slide motion. Tried the hard rubber one from sprint and the tabs stuck up to far and rubbed on screen part of slider. I even tried to shave them down with a razor but it was to a point if I shaved anymore the tabs would fall off.

I bought one of these: http://www.cellphoneshop.net/clsncoforhtc1.html

Its the same thing as the Best buy case, from what I could tell, when I compared the two. I like it better since its clear. I may buy another. Cant lose for $2.99. No problems with the tabs rubbing during sliding.

PS I also bought 4 ac chargers and 2 car chargers for $20 from them. I have a charger everywhere!!!! Cheaper than the extended battery route.

The ones BB carry don't have a hard screen cover. $30+shipping isn't that much...gonna give it a try!

Got this case from the Sprint kiosk at the mall, different brand (Technocel vs Bodyglove) from my Blackberry days but its an almost identical case. Doesn't have anything covering the screen but it's a pretty solid two-part case.
