Scratched up TP!

I was talking to the wife and went to hang up. Stupid me went to use my left thumb to hang it up and dropped it on my glass front porch table and scratched up my chrome screen protector (have five more) and put a small knick in the chrome.....What should I ever do?!? Should I lose my phone and get an assurion replacement?!? Or better yet....Maybe if I flash a new rom, it will magically repair itself! I'm so bummed. snif.....

Really, I did put a f'n knick in it but I had a bad day and felt like getting a rise out of ya'll......let the flamming begin!!!! WOOOOOOOO ;)

if it wasn't on the screen itself, it wouldn't bother me toooooo much... not enough to spend the $50 deductable to get a new one from asurion at least

$50? It's $150 now!! and no, I was just bein an a$$....I'm kinda makin fun at the morons who get a scratch, knick, or ding on their chrome and want to intentionally break their phones to get a new one. Yeah, it bothers me to a degree, but I have had this phone since Nov. 1st and this is my first scratch and so what. it's gonna happen sooner or later.

Are you saying, order now a new TP for $50. Activate it and keep the old one for spare parts: chrome outer shell, screen, battery and cover, both speakers, keyboard, stylus.... anything else.

Sounds like great advice. Thanks guys..

The only risk is getting a refurbished phone that was probably returned back in Oct/Nov. when they were being returned constantly.
karma karma karma

I've always wondered whats so bad about a refurbed phone? I mean they fixed it (hopefully) but if not send it back get a new 1... so why does every 1 hate refurb? just curious :-p

I thought I read in the thing sprint mailed out that the deductible would be $100 not $150...

I got one recently and it was junk out of the box. It's been my experience that most of the time you're OK with a refurb, but every once in a while you just inherit someone else's problem. Mine apparently had a short in the slider, when you slid out the keyboard in landscape mode, the screen would be fine one minute, then rapidly fluctuate from portrait to landscape. I was NOT a happy camper. :angry7:
