New SPrint Pro Question
 

I received my pro as a replacement for my touch that was broken.. Through Asurion nice replacement love the phone. I loaded Might Mikes Rom no problem.

The question I have is there any way to see on the phone if you are using Rev a or just EVDO. My phone shows EVDO and I live in an area that has Rev a but i am on the out skirts of the area.

There is no way to know on the phone itself. You can run speed tests and see what your upload speeds are to get an idea...

I'm not sure what the reason you want to check is though. The speed difference between Rev. 0 and Rev. A on download is pretty much nill and you're probably not doing intense uploading from your phone.

Also, the towers in your area play a major role. Just because your towers are REv. A. capable and your phone is doesn't mean you'll always get Rev. A speeds. The tower might be saturated or something in your environment could weaken your signal, among other things...

Basically, if your phone shows EV be happy ;) well until WiMax hits Sprint on a PPC.

I am pretty sure Rev. A allows for a slightly faster download. Uploading is definitely faster, though like frazell said it depends on your towers and how strong of a connection you have to it.

I am trying to figure this out too, I want assurance that I am indeed getting the speed that my towers provide, on a device I paid good money for.

I also have mighty rom 4.16. Whenever I enter an area that has rev A, my little Ev icon in the taskbar changes to rA. That is built into Mighty's Rom. So, you will know you're using rev A when you see the rA icon in the taskbar.
