To enable facebook chat support you need to edit the registry after installing Palringo.

[HKCU\Software\Parlingo\Settings]
Set string Beta/Facebook to 1

what is facebook chat ? I get a text when someone writes on my wall but thats it. Is it the same as just recieving a text or is it something without being logged on. I use skyfire when I log on because it shows whos on and it keeps everything current.

You have to register for a Palringo account first, then link your Facebook account to it... you'll use whatever info you used to register with Palringo to log in.

palringo rocks, I use it and it's the first thing that I load after I reflash...

+1 for getting the palringo account, you use it like a consolidator for your other chat apps, aim, gtalk, yahoo talk, msn/etc... and facebook...

and the palringo works with the mightmikes 6.5 rom notifications right out of the box

Do you have symbols in your facebook password? Seems to be an
issue sometimes.
