data not working on sprint tp
 

okay unlocked my tp and flashed for my custom roms tut it said to restore my data through ##3282## enter my sibsidy or whatever you call it and hit restore now well after i did this i tried 2 update my data profile and i get error 76 so i try and type ##3282## and enter my number and it says check unlock code failed please input again any help plese otherwise ive got some explainin to do to the tech :((

I am far from being an expert on this subject but I never had to do anything of this sort after flashing a ROM.

Occasionally a sprint user will loose their data connection after flashing a rom. Some of the chefs here post these instructions for when it happens.

Are you sure you are using the correct MSL. Did you use Baf's MSL Grabber?

i wuz usin the mighty rom any help used the msl grabber and the msl code wuz diffrent than sprint had said ](*,)

So...what happens when you use the correct MSL? Did you do a hard reset after flashing the Mighty Rom? Also, you said you get an error 76, are you sure it's not 67?

I had same issue as you with same rom ](*,) I called sprint and they could not fix the problem so they sent me a new phone but at the time I didnt no about this fix http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=64718. Give that a try and good luck

Hey jsjaybone,
I've never heard of anyone needing to do this procedure? Did you read about this somewhere? It is well documented and repeated in this forum and others that the procedure for fixing lost internet connection is update your profile, if nogo then restore profile in EPST then update profile again. I'm just curious and would like to learn. Thanks

well depending on what rom he flashed...if he hit the update PRI button then this is what will happen...

it changes your MSL, esn and basically wrecks havoc on your phone

but

use the grabber...##RTN#>reset>LET THE PHONE AUTO PROGRAM>net should work...

dont click on update PRI

ok...got it. thanks thelastpoet. So it looks like the OP might have done the update pri option since the msl was changed.

yes I did just what lastpoet said I did. It hosed my data on my phone even reflashing to sprint stock rom didn't fix the data. But like I said at the time I didn't no by doing that pri update that it would do that to my data. I also didn't no how to fix it and sprint didnt either. If I would have known about the fix I would not have needed sprint to send me a new phone.
