Make Home screen events readable?

Is there a way to resize the elements of the Home tab? The clock is way to large and there isn't any room for the upcoming events?

If you scroll your finger from the bottom to the top it will show more than one upcoming events. I think I had up to 3 showing at one time, but I can't seem to get more than 2 right now.
