Delay in receiving a call?

I just tried calling myself from another phone and it took around about 7-8 rings before my TP even woke up, then about 1-2 more rings until the TP displayed the caller?? Is there a fix for this? I tried it several times after a soft reset & a hard reset.

Signal wise at home have like 2-3 bars, but this still happens even when I have full service. As far as updating the PRL, I am trying that now.

You can change you Slot Cycle Index to make your phone poll the towers more often.
To do this, you will need your MSL, . Open up the phone app and dial ##778# (PST). You will be asked to enter your MSL. Enter it, and you will be brought into the provisioning of your phone. From the top left, select Modem Settings. On this page, your Slot Cycle Index (SCI) is how often your phone polls the tower for incoming calls, etc. This value is 1.28 seconds multiplied by 2^value (i.e 0=1.28 secs, 1=2.56secs) with 0 fastest, 7 slowest. The default is 2, but lowering it to 1 hasn't noticeably affected my battery life, and roughly 2.5 second (SCI 1) response time is far more reasonable than roughly 5 seconds (SCI 2). If you need help getting your MSL use Bafmsl.

Checking that out now... Hopefully this works.

Re: Delay in receiving a call?

##778# and then you will want to click on edit. The code should be 000000 to unlock from there select view info, select prl and click on update prl file. Browse to the PRL file and once you've selected it click menu and then click ok. Your device should change the PRL and prompt you to reset the device.

If you're looking for a PRL file check out this site:
