my slide out keyboard will not work.
i have the stock rom from sprint and i had the badboy volume hack thats it and have had it for about 2 months now. I added g-alarm about a week ago and my storage card got erased and is still not recognized by my phone.i just started having problems about 3 days ago. my slideout keyboard wont work at all not even caps lock or the function key. I tried a hard reset by going into settings and doing clear storage. i was thinking of reflashing becuase i dont think this is hardware issue.
Thanks again |
Re: my slide out keyboard will not work.
there are a lot of threads about this... your are not the only having issues... its hardware. there is a thread that shows you how to fix it or get a replacement.

Your best bet is to keep sending the broken keyboard ones back to Asurion until they get the freakin' picture. :( Nonetheless, to hard reset just goto Settings > System > Clear Storage |
Re: my slide out keyboard will not work.
Asurion seems to get the picture. It looks like HTC won't fix the issue so Asurion just keeps throwing them back at HTC to fix the keyboard, then HTC throws it back at Asurion, who then throws it at someone else.

Re: my slide out keyboard will not work.
i had a problem with my keyboard to and i had to take into a sprint store and they replaced it with a refurbished phone but at least i have no longer had this problem...

Re: my slide out keyboard will not work.
actually since it a manufactuers defect you would be able to get this replaced/fixed in store for free if you have TEP...no need for a deductible...
also on the newer TP's the hardware version is 0002 so i think the problem has been addressed and HTC kinda ninja snuck a hardware fix in there... can anyone confirm that earlier builds had 0001 on them? |
